Funding approved for improvements to drinking water treatment plantWILLITS, Calif. — On Nov. 9 the Willits City Council approved 30 year zero interest loans of $2,779,623 and $3 million in grants for the Willits drinking water treatment plant, according to the Willits News.
The money is being provided by the Safe Drinking Water Revolving Fund that is funded by state proposition and federal funding, noted the article.
After a breach in water in 2008 the city of Willits, Calif. was looking to add an additional clarifier and filtration unit to help upgrade the existing plant, stated the article.
