New York based graphic design firm, MLK Watershed Art recently used design to raise awareness on the consumption of plastics. The installation was intended to educate people about this fact; 1,500 plastic water bottles are consumed in one second in the United States. That's every second! Consider that 17 million barrels of oil that are used in producing bottled water each year. Consider too that bottle water costs 1,000 times more than tap water.
