Kevin Worsfold of One Water Systems discusses bottled water the fallacy pf mass-market filters and what's lurking in our taps.
MY FAMILY DRINKS BOTTLED WATER SO WHY WOULD WE NEED A WATER FILTER IN OUR HOME? Bottled water is regulated by the FDA not the EPA, and their standards are weaker in many ways. According to industry estimates, about one-fourth of bottled water is actually bottled tap water (and by some accounts, as much as 40% is derived from tap water.) What consumers don't know is that most bottled water is processed by reverse osmosiswhich produces water that is extremely acidic and devoid of healthy minerals like calcium and magnesium.
